It’s all in the wording….

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say this writer wasn’t one of the many who believed the rapture was going to take place on May 21st, 2011. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

Camping’s PR aide, Tom Evans, told the L.A. Times that the group is “disappointed” that 200 million true believers weren’t lifted up to heaven on Saturday while everyone else suffered and eventually died as a series of earthquakes and famine destroyed the Earth.

I’m sensing some bitterness and sarcasm here.

Maybe it’s just in my head but since I’ve started writing for PhoneDog, I’ve noticed how much words can subtly betray biases. It’s almost subconscious. It’s hard for me to write a straight-up article about Apple since I hate the company. Even when I try, I find that I’ve inadvertently worded things a certain way to make it sound negative.

Anyway, I thought this little example was interesting and kind of funny.
