Titanic in Two Minutes

This is a little project I’ve been working on for a while now. It took me a while because I’ve been super-busy with work, not because it was a massive undertaking.

I realized that the film Titanic can really be condensed down to about two minutes, so I decided to put my idea into video format. You can see it on my YouTube channel. (Stay tuned after the movie is over for a special segment.)

Rubbish

Don’t you just love the word ‘rubbish’? It’s what Brits and such use instead of the word ‘trash’. And I think it sounds great. I mean, it makes trash sound so cool and sophisticated. If you call a wad of paper trash, then it’s just icky stuff that no one wants to touch, but if you call it rubbish, then it all of a sudden it sounds like a piece of art or something. It makes it sound less gross, you know? I mean, I wouldn’t really want to touch anything called trash, but rubbish doesn’t sound so bad. Yeah, I’ll pick that up.

And ‘rubbish bin’ – how cool does that sound? Trash can sounds so…trashy, but rubbish bin, now that’s sophisticated. That’s something I wouldn’t mind having on my chore list. “Empty the rubbish bin.” Doesn’t that just sound so cool?

Yeah, maybe it’s just me, but I definitely think these Brits are some sophisticated people. It’s not everyone that can make a piece of icky stuff sound so cool and artistic. Rubbish. I love it.
